I received this quote in an email recently and it really struck a chord with me.

What an outstanding example of standing firm and standing up for humanity. Abraham Lincoln is not the only example in history and in the present who has demonstrated what I call the Epitome of Character. Consider a young courageous lady who refused to give up her seat in 1955. What about this phenomenal example of character: Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu who was also known as Mother Teresa. She demonstrated active expression of love for those that society threw out. She described her call, "I was to leave the convent and help the poor while living among them. It was an order. To fail would have been to break the faith." What a leader! What commitment! What character! She served the unloved, the abandoned, the diseased, the disabled, the victims of disaster, the forgotten humanity around her.
